Will host in-person events when possible. Looking for a location to host meetups with a merchant that accepts BCH.

Nueva Esparta, Venezuela: Hosting virtual meetups every 2 weeks to target CPAs and Accountants. Approx 20 to 25 new attendees every meetup. Using virtual meetups due to COVID. Hosted an in-person meetup last Friday with 30 students. They are looking for ways to finance their own projects.

Bangalore, India: Hosted an in-person meetup. 8 newcomers attended which is great given the circumstances with Covid. Instacrypto is adding new features for merchants accepting BCH. They are hosting Crypto101 virtually on Tuesday evenings. 11 new merchants added recently using Zapit wallet!

Ghana: Hosting monthly meetups. Hosted an in-person meetup at a local university with a Student Investing Club.  There were over 70 attendees and most were new to Crypto/BCH. New wallets were downloaded and BCH was distributed, sponsored by SA. Host was added to the Student Investors chat so he was able to also share BCH in the group.

Nigeria: 12 new merchants recently added. The next in-person meetup is on Saturday!

Mexico: Hosting an in-person meetup on July 22nd in Bitcoin Embassy Bar in Mexico City. They will demo BCH and BTC using LN vs the Bitcoin.com wallet. Attendees will transfer BTC using LN and BCH using the Bitcoin.com wallet. Planning to record the demo. Working on a project to onboard 200 merchants in a small town in Mexico. He’s invested money in creating a website, logo, and materials to launch.

Buenos Aires, Argentina: Map will be updated to reflect 85 businesses in the region. The last meetup had approx 35 people at a bar accepting BCH. The next meetup will be in Chinatown and working to onboard a business to host. Using CopaAmerica (a large soccer tournament) to create BCH raffles for those guessing the correct winners of the soccer game. Convinced a convenience store with 84 locations to accept BCH but it requires work to educate the workers and clients before it can launch widely. Also, talking to the suppliers of the convenience store, so they can sell and get supplies using BCH. Working with a bookstore (selling libertarian books) to include a pamphlet to explain BCH and provide a little bit of BCH to sweep.

Gold Coast, Australia: New organizer and meetup in the Gold Coast. First hosted on June 19th.

Texas: Possible new meetup

3. BCH Merchant Adoption Campaign

The campaign ends August 31st. Please share with your members. This is a great opportunity to earn money and increase adoption in your region. Details: https://www.satoshisangels.com/crypto-merchants.  Join the telegram group if you have questions: https://t.me/globaladoption

4. Bitcoin.com Map

Common reasons businesses are not added to the map within a few days:

  1. Invalid website URL. It must be a normal link, so the customer clicks and go directly to the page.

  2. Incomplete or invalid addresses that cannot be found on Google Maps. (This may be the reason why some approved locations have been placed incorrectly, and you cannot find them.)

5. Online Merchant Adoption - Alex

Alex is creating a list of 5 online businesses to target.  Something specific so we can work together to onboard prominent online businesses (e.g., pitch, networking, business contacts, etc.).

6. Meetup Subscription Fees

Satoshi’s Angels is reimbursing meetup.com subscription fees for the next 6 months. Please send a screenshot of the receipt and your BCH address to Satoshi's Angels.
